Asterix Volume 22: Asterix and the Great Crossing

Asterix and the Great Crossing is volume 22 of the Asterix comic series by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Asterix and Obelix set out across the sea and find themselves far from their familiar village, encountering new people and unexpected situations. The voyage gives the series room to play with misunderstandings, unfamiliar customs and the comic possibilities of an adventure beyond Gaul.

The story combines travel, slapstick and visual jokes with the friendship between Asterix and Obelix. As the characters navigate their new surroundings, their resourcefulness and loyalty remain central to the adventure. The lively illustrations and fast-moving plot make it accessible to readers who enjoy stories where the setting changes but the characters’ humour stays familiar.

This English-language paperback is volume 22 of the classic series, published by Hachette India. It can be read as an individual adventure or as part of a wider Asterix collection for readers who enjoy classic comics and illustrated storytelling.
